Cheapie Saturday haul!

I'm thrifty. Or just plain cheap. Anyways, I love a good deal, no-buy be damned! And I found a lot of good deals today at Shoppers Drugmart, Walmart and Dollarama! I didn't even go to Marshall's or Winners, which is weird for me. 


I'm going to use this bag for empties next month, my La Senza one is getting a bit ragged. 

Onto the goods! 


I can't resist these palettes! I got two Hard Candy Top Ten palettes from Walmart, Smoked Out and Birthday Suit. I've already swatched them and reviews will be out once I've done a few looks with each!


I got three nail polishes as well. I found Nails Inc's South Molton Street for two dollars at Shoppers! I've been dying for a baby pink polish, too. 
Then I got Hard Candy's Soda Pop because it looked cool at Walmart from the sale bin, and got Nicole by Opi's Sky's the Limit at Dollarama. 


I also got these essence glitters for a dollar each at Shoppers. They're for nails, but I'd actually like to use them as eyeliner or on my brows. 


I found these Sally Hansen salon effects nail strips at Dollarama as well. Can you tell that I love glitter? 


More essence goodies that were marked down to a buck at Shoppers. I got their maximum definition volume mascara, all eyes on me waterproof mascara, stay with me long lasting lipgloss in a wine colour, and Kajal pencil in Beach Bum. 


Last but not least, samples from the generous ladies at Shoppers! I got deluxe samples of StriVectin's extreme cream, Vichy's LiftActiv Supreme, A-derma's Soothing Foaming Gel, and Angel by Thierry Mugler which I have been wanting to try forever because I love Alien!

Anyway, that's my totally unexpected Saturday haul! What's the last amazing beauty deal you caved for?

Review: Maybelline Brow Drama Pomade Crayon

Hey guys, long time no post! I'm here today to review the new Maybelline Brow Drama Pomade Crayon. This is an interesting product for sure- one of the many new and exciting things Maybelline has put out for us this spring. The crayon is a short, chubby pencil that is supposed to be a brow pomade in crayon form. There are obviously drawbacks to this design- while it's a cool concept, frankly, the thing is huge. Maybelline definitely should have gone with something a lot less thick. I got the shade Dark Brown, I believe. As you can see, while the product is sharp now, it doesn't take much to run it down and I fear for the day this becomes too nubby to use (I've been using it on an angle so far). The formula, however, is pretty gorgeous. It's soft and emollient, but amazingly pigmented. It gives a soft effect rather than a harsh line. Here are my brows with no product in them. May Favourites 2016!

May went by so slowly for me, but it was a month of excitement for sure! Eurovision happened and I got a job! Let's see what I loved through this month. A lot of oldies in here! First I've got some Makeup Geek shadows to talk about, and for once, I'm not waxing poetic about their Foiled eyeshadows. Makeup Geek's matte shadows in Chickadee (left) and Cocoa Bear (right) are deserving of all the hype they get. They pair together perfectly to create a warm crease. I'd never actually owned a warm medium brown eyeshadow before this, and let me just say- where have I been?! I've been wearing them all month and the only complaint I have is that now I'm in a bit of an eyeshadow rut because I don't want to wear anything else! Products I've Hit Pan On!

Whenever I look back on my instagram to see which posts were the most popular, it's always the posts featuring products I've #hitpan on. The panning community in general is awesome, so I figured I'd do a post showing all the products in my collection that currently have some pan going on! And I'm sure I'll have another post like this soon, because I have so many products, particularly eyeshadows, that are soooo close to hitting pan. Anyways- let's get into the good stuff! First up is this Too Faced Jingle All the Way "phone palette" that I've had for ages. It was my first foray into high-end eyeshadow- picked up for a measly 15 bucks when I went on vacation to Washington, D.C.
