Today (night?) I'm melding two posts I've been meaning to do into one: a disappointing products post, and a post about products that the internet 'made me buy' or otherwise influenced me to purchase (whether it be general hype or a specific recommendation from an idol or friend). And to get even more specific, this post will feature all face products, because I've got a lip and eye post coming later on! So let's just jump into this, shall we? I excitedly anticipated the release of the L'Oreal Pro Glow foundation after I saw the preview on instagram. I was sure it would become my new Holy Grail foundation. It claimed everything I wanted in a foundation, it was drugstore, for dry skin, had some very pale, cool shades, and it came in a squeeze tube.  What more could I have asked for? February, the shortest month of the year, has almost come to an end, and while I wasn't enamored with too many products this month, I definitely fell hard for a couple. So we've got a blush, an eyeliner, an eyeshadow palette and ... a concealer?! Other than Maybelline Fit Me? This may be interesting. And with the exception of the eyeliner, I bought all of these products this month. I bought the Stila Eyes Are the Window to the Mind eyeshadow palette as a splurge for my birthday, after wanting it for probably a year. I'm so impressed with the quality of this all-matte palette, and now I have no desire to seek out any other matte shadows. These are perfect. The orange shade is my favourite, there are so many beautiful transition shades, the black is such good quality, and that dark plum is such a great, unexpected colour to deepen the outer corner with! And what do we have for today's review? Milani's Baked Blush in Bella Rosa, that's what! Walmart started selling these in Canada, along with the Superstore, around September-ish of last year. The first impression I get of this product is that the packaging is kind of cheap. I've worn it all of twice, and the front is wearing off. But look, it has a compartment with a little mirror and tiny brush in it! The mirror is useful, I guess, but honestly, it just makes the package that much more bulky. Also, tip: please do not use the brush to apply this blush. It is scratchy and picks up way too much pigment. You will have two hot pink stripes on your cheeks. The pan of blush, however, is gorgeous. It's got the signature rounded top of a baked cosmetic, and looks bouncy and vibrant. Bella Rosa is a I-just-got-slapped bright dark pink. As hard as I try, it's hard to resist a good sale. I saw this on sale at Loblaws for something like four bucks, thought "I definitely don't have enough lip gloss", and bought this. It doesn't count against my no-buy, I swear! I had a gift card ... ! This is my first taste of Milani's lip products. The packaging on this Brilliant Shine Lip Gloss is significantly better than the rest of their line of cosmetics, which tend to crack and fall apart while still on display in the store! It has a soft fuzzy applicator that is flat on both sides. The colour is the colour of a dark pink rose. It's not what I would think of upon hearing "Rose Blush", but this is my favourite shade of pink, nonetheless. It matches my e.l.f. lipstick in Rosy-Go-Round perfectly. The gloss has silvery microglitter-shimmer suspended in it that is visible on the lips. This gloss is very sheer on the lips, but thick in consistency. It's the slightest bit stick...
