The Makeup Monologues

Here's the first segment of the Lipstick Stash & Swatch Series! First up is the smallest set as I get used to doing tons of lip swatches at the same time. What I've discovered so far about multiple lip swatches: -They suck. -You will have a clown stain around your lip line. -Your lips will cramp and your neck will crick from posing. -All of your concealer from your mouth and chin area will be wiped off. If you often get mouth and chin blemishes like I do, this will be a nightmare. What have I gotten myself into?! Well... without further ado, here we go with the lipsticks. Julie started a Shark Week linky for the CBBers and I pondered a while on how I could incorporate Shark Week into makeup. This is what I put together! This is what I used. For my eyes: -Wet n Wild Vegan Culture palette from the Silver Lake collection -Smashbox Stay Sharp Retractable eyeliner in Onyx -Laura Mercier creme eyeliner in Graphite -Too Faced Better than Sex mascara A close up of the palette.  On my face in Vichy BB cream and on my lips is Obsessive Compulsive cosmetics lip tar in NSFW. This is the final product! The gray-teal wing is supposed to imitate a shark fin. I used the gray, white and blue shades in the Vegan Culture palette to imitate the sea and sky- so the shark fin is supposed to be visible out of the water. g I didn't get the wings quite even though, haha. Hey guys! First of all, I am so so sorry about the semi-hiatus I went on recently. I graduated high school and was completely burnt out, plus I've been working a lot to save money for university. Today I'm going to be joining a challenge with several CBBers- the Finish Five by Fall challenge! I was initially very hesitant about joining such a challenge, as I've only ever finished two makeup products before in my life. Empties posts are a monumental feat for me. So I figured to have any hope in hell of finishing things off, they'd have to be mostly minis. Here are the products I chose- more than five, but oh well. I chose products that I wasn't already trying to finish in my Use it Up 2015. The first item is this Urban Decay primer sample. There I was, hopped up on my ADHD medication, when I thought I had a great idea. I dumped all of my makeup onto my bed and arranged them into piles by category: lippies, blushes, eyeliners, etc. Then I grabbed three ziploc freezer bags and labelled them 'WEEK 1', 'WEEK 2' and 'WEEK 3'. I grabbed a small handful with my eyes closed from each pile and dropped one handful into each bag. I theorized that for a whole week, all I'd be able to use was what was in each bag, and an eyeshadow palette of my choice. I'll also be able to use my project use-it-up items. Here's what I chose for this week. There's the assortment. Sadly two of the blushes are really bright, when I'm trying to make the eyeshadow palette the star of my looks.
