The Makeup Monologues

This weekend I'm at the CFS (Canadian Federation of Students) Ontario Semi-Annual Meeting as part of Local 82 (Algoma University Student Union), in Toronto. It's very exciting and I've learned so much- but aside from that, here's what I brought with me for the four-day trip, makeup-wise! Let's start with eyeshadow. I knew I'd want to do some bright looks, so I packed my Urban Decay Electric palette. For more neutral stuff and smokey looks, I packed the LORAC Pro 2. For my main transition shades I packed my NARS eyeshadow duo in Madrague, and for my blending out shade/browbone highlight I brought along the Wet N Wild eyeshadow single in Brulee. I also packed some cream eyeshadow sticks- the NYX Jumbo eye pencil in Black Bean to use as a base under the metallic brights in the Electric palette, the brown Rimmel Scandaleyes pencil to quickly slap on the lid, and the two green pencils because I knew I'd want to do a green smokey eye, and I bought th...

Hey guys! I hope you're all having a great March Break so far! I'm going to be out and about, away from home all March Break and here's what I packed in my travel bag! It's not the prettiest of bags, I'll admit, but it's functional and I don't really care if it gets dirty in transit. Tadaaaaa. Onto the goods! Smashbox on the Rocks Luxe Palette. I got this at Christmas and haven't really had a chance to play with it yet because I've been panning my Too Faced phone palette. But this definitely has all the eyeshadow colours I need to survive! Maybelline The Vivids Lipstick in Vibrant Mandarin. I recently picked this up and want to really try it out. Wet N Wild Megalast Lipstick in In the Flesh . Let's see what's in my makeup bag today! Surprisingly (or not), quite a lot... The bag... And the goods! On my dad's week I do my makeup at school so I typically just toss a bunch of crap in my bag and then cobble together a look out of what landed in its general vicinity. For the face, I have my Maybelline Dream Matte Powder in Cream, theBalm Mary Lou Manizer, and Joe Fresh Mousse Blush in Rose. Eyeshadows: Too Faced Jingle All the Way Phone Palette, Sugarpill Burning Heart Palette, and Wet N Wild Color Icon trio in I Dream Of Greenie. Other eye stuff: Maybelline Master Conceal in Fair, Smashbox 24 Hour Photo Finish eyeshadow primer, Benefit's They're Real! and GOSH Defining Eyebrow gel in 003. Miscellaneous: Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliners in Asphyxia and Freak, and Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Berry Haute. What's your guess at which I wore? 

Earlier this week I posted Megan Snoops. Now it's your turn to do the snooping!  Here's a short post of what I brought in my makeup bag for touch-ups at school today. Here's my bag itself in all its glory. It was a pretty neutral day! Products: Benefit's They're Real! The mascara I've been using on a daily basis. I like to reapply often to see just how big my lashes can get! Wet N Wild Megalast Lipstick in In the Flesh My perfect MLBB lipstick. Maybelline Master Conceal in Fair Indispensible. Sometimes I forget I concealed a pimple and then I pick at it and need to reapply. Rimmel Vinyl Lip Gloss  This never leaves my school bag, but I thought it was worth showing anyway. I have quite a busy weekend planned! Saturday I'm waking up early to go to Manitoulin Island to check on the family trailer- then as soon as I get home, I'm going to my friend Jen's sleepover party! We'll spend the night partay-ing, then my friend Kassidy will be picking me up at six AM Sunday and we're travelling seven hours to go to Brock University's open house and then back home again in the same day. Whew! But the real important question is: what makeup am I going to bring? Here is my little bag, in all of its tiny cute glory. However, it sure can hold a lot of stuff! Ta-da!
