Project Pan 2020: Update 1!

Image
Hey, it's time for a short update on my Mini Madness Project Pan! For products that have visible progress, I'll be posting photos, and for products that I've maybe only used a few times, I'll just be discussing them. Let's start off with the primers! I got quite a bit of use out of the Tatcha Silk Canvas, but I mainly use it around my nose and cheeks to blur my pores, and over my blemishes. The Fenty Soft Matte primer, however, I've really been digging into. I've used it up to the point where the pump doesn't dispense any product anymore so I've been scraping the sides of the bottle with a little doe-foot applicator. I'm determined to completely use this thing up. Then, for the skincare... I've neeeearly finished up the OLEHENRIKSEN Banana Bright eye cream- less than a week left in that jar, so I'm going to be using it all up and then moving in another mini sized skincare product! I'm going to be...

Project Pan 2020: Mini Madness!

Minis do have their place in my collection. A lot of them are point perks, bonuses, or samples from Sephora. I am grateful that I got to try out some formulas that I wouldn’t have necessarily sought out on my own. Working at Sephora, I’m expected to be a near-expert about every single product, but I can’t buy every single product, so minis are crazy useful, especially for products that normally take a while to get through (like lipstick, or blush) or are very costly in a full size (like high-end skincare).  However, I’ve accumulated a small army of these minis through swaps, gratis, point perks and the like - and I often forget to use them because they’re so small. I want to dedicate a project in 2020 to using them up! I figure that focusing on mini products will give me more frequent gratification than full-size products will, and will help me to clear my collection of excess clutter. I’m going to start out with ten items, and just like in my previous Proje...

Thank U, Next: Project Pan 2018 Finale!

Image
Welcome back! I've been away for quite some time, and I'm sure no one wants to hear why. But what's important is that I started a project that I actually didn't abandon- so, here is the finale of my Project Pan for 2018!  I had started a Project Pan to get through a backlog of deluxe-sized skincare and show some more love to the drugstore makeup products in my collection. I succeeded in most of my goals for the project, finishing all of the skincare products and hitting pan or getting decent use out of a lot of the makeup items! I finished all of these! I had also added a few extra products to the project throughout the year. As I finished something up, I'd throw something else in and focus on it. Okay, so the original project had a total count of 17 products. Of those, my goal was to finish at least 10. I added 2 more products throughout the year for a total of 19. So how did I do? I finished 11 products and hit pan on 3! I'm super satisfied with...

Project Pan 2018 - Second Quarterly Update!

Image
Now that August is nearly upon us, it's time for me to track my progress on my Project Pan 2018 items! The past few months have been interesting in terms of their use- there are some I've made a surprising amount of progress on, and some that I'm surprised aren't finished yet. Plus some that I may have forgotten to photograph. Nonetheless, here they are! Let's start off with skincare. I finished the two deluxe-sized moisturizers in this project! However, I moved out of my parents' house in May and somehow lost these empties in the move, which has me crushed. But I did finish them! The Origins Ginzing Energy-Boosting Gel Moisturizer is something that was perfectly nice, but never wowed me enough to consider purchasing. It's not even something I would recommend to anyone in particular. Like.... it's just the most lightly hydrating, slightly refreshing moisturizer, and I feel like I could have been impressed with it in my teens, but skincare has c...

Project Pan 2018: First Quarterly Update!

Image
It’s almost April, and that means it’s time for a Project Pan update! These past three months I’ve kept my Project Pan items out on my desk in plain sight so I wouldn’t forget about them. Nevertheless, there were a few products that got neglected moreso than others, but I’m overall happy with my progress this quarter! I finished two of my items! The Boscia Sake Treatment Water only had a few uses left. I’m not going to repurchase this one. The Boscia Charcoal Makeup Melter is also done! I’ve replaced both of them with new, similar items in the project. Since I finished the Boscia Sake Treatment Water in early February, I have been working on The Body Shop Aloe Calming Toner. I marked a line to see where I had started on the product when I put it into the project, and the little doodled line is where I am now. I really enjoy this toner, but I had sort of forgotten about it and so figured it was a good idea to add it to the project and move it o...
