Stephanie's Canadian Love Affair: Annabelle Cosmetics!

Image
Hi everyone! This is Stephanie of Beauty Infinitum , guest posting for the lovely Megan! This month's Canadian Beauty Bloggers guest post theme is Canadian Love , and I had to feature one of my favourite Canadian brand (and brand in general), Annabelle ! Annabelle is a widely-available brand here in Canada, with very affordable, high-quality products. You might also know their sister brand, Marcelle . I've loved so many of the Annabelle products I've tried, and I've split my favourites into three groups below: Eyes, Face, Lips . Full disclosure: I do have a PR relationship with Annabelle, and some of my picks below were sent free for consideration. Those are marked with an asterisk (*). I really do love each product whether or not I paid for it though, and all opinions are 100% my own. Eyes I think Annabelle's eye makeup products were the first I delved into, as I kept hearing great things about their eyeliners. I love their Smoothliner  in Metal Daze ...

June Guest Post: Neon EOTD with Amanda!

Image
Hey there! It's Amanda from Ginger Chic . It's that time of the month again when the Canadian Beauty Blogger members get to guest post for one another. This month I get to guest post for the beautiful Megan! June's Guest post theme is Neon. The first thing I thought of was my extensive collection of neon nail polishes but I decided to try a fun neon makeup look instead.   I created this neon inspired look using shadows from the new Anastasia Beverly Hills Artist Palette and the new Makeup Geek Foiled shadow in Pegasus.    For this look I started with the ABH Artist palette. I used the fluffy end of the brush that came with the palette and blended Dusty Rose into the crease. Then, using my finger as I find it gives the best application, I applied Pegasus all over my entire lid and used Dusty rose to blend it up into the crease. I then blended Unicorn, which is a beautiful periwinkle blue, into the crease and lower lash line and deepened the outer corner with...

Hello readers of The Makeup Monologues! I'm Chantal from Chantal's Corner and I'm excited to be a guest for Megan today as part of the Canadian Beauty Bloggers ' monthly guest posts! Our theme this month is orange and I really wanted to do a makeup look for you, but things don't always work out as planned - especially with a baby! So I went with nail art. I know Megan does not do nail posts so I hope you don't mind the change is subject. For my nail art I was inspired by the famous saying April Showers Bring May Flowers , so here are my orange May flowers. For this nail art I used the following products: Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "White On" x 2 coats as base colour Sinful Colours "Pull Over" essence sun kissed "hello summer!" Nailtini "Mai Tai" essence "the green & the grunge" butter LONDON Matte Finish Topcoat Pure Color n° 10 nail art brush I used a foil paper to mix the colours tog...

Guest Post: Pastel Polishes from Trysh!

Image
Hi guys! This is Trysh from Prairie Beauty Love and I'm really excited to guest post here about my favorite spring pastel nail polishes as a part of the Canadian Beauty Bloggers Network! For me, one of the most exciting parts of spring is that I can shop my own collection for products that have been shelved over the winter, particularly all of those colourful nail polish shades that I always tuck away when the weather gets cold. Since the theme this month is all about pastels, I decided I would shop my own collection and show you guys some of my favorite pastels that I can't wait to bust out this spring. RIMMEL London 60 Seconds Nail Polish in I Lilac You The RIMMEL 60 Second polishes are some of my favorites at the drugstore and this has been the spring/summer standout of that line for me. This is just a really classic lilac créme shade that is opaque in 2 coats and dries incredibly quickly. PURE ICE Nail Polish in Bikini PURE ICE tends to really ...

March Guest Post: Natalie from Ivory Avenue goes Green!

Image
Hey guys! Natalie from Ivory Avenue is guest posting on my blog; check out her blog and enjoy the show! -~-~-~-~- Hi everyone! My name is Natalie and I blog over at Ivory Avenue . I'll be taking over Megan's blog today as part of the Canadian Beauty Bloggers monthly guest posting . The theme this month is green (for Saint Patrick's Day!), so I've decided to tell you all about my favourite green products: either green makeup, or beauty items in green packaging. I thought I would be spoiled for choice, but I have surprisingly few green makeup products. I really need to change that: I love wearing green eye makeup! Simple Kind To Skin Simple Facial Wipes ($9.99) I'm a sucker for wipes, and these are just lovely. They remove my eye makeup with ease and are just a pleasure to use.   The Face Shop Lovely ME:EX Pastel Cushion Blusher in Rose Cushion (~$9.00) By far one of the cutest blushes I own, this blush from The Face Shop is a favourite. It's a lovely ...
