Disappointing Products (That The Internet Made Me Buy): Face Edition

Today (night?) I'm melding two posts I've been meaning to do into one: a disappointing products post, and a post about products that the internet 'made me buy' or otherwise influenced me to purchase (whether it be general hype or a specific recommendation from an idol or friend). And to get even more specific, this post will feature all face products, because I've got a lip and eye post coming later on! So let's just jump into this, shall we? I excitedly anticipated the release of the L'Oreal Pro Glow foundation after I saw the preview on instagram. I was sure it would become my new Holy Grail foundation. Review: L'Oreal Infallible Silkissime Eyeliner in Cobalt Blue

It's always exciting when you've been waiting and waiting for something to go on sale and then it finally does. I picked up this L'Oreal Silkissime eyeliner in Cobalt Blue at Target, having wanted it ever since I read Temptalia's review. Standard pencil eyeliner, nice packaging, though the cap looks liable, like others, to crack or come off if subjected to a bit of wear and tear. Cobalt Blue is, well, a cobalt blue. It's pretty straightforward, and opaque in one smooth stroke. It feels very... liquidy. Wet, and gel-like. It sets in a matter of half a minute, but is not completely transferproof.  Its smooth, soft consistency makes it a bit difficult to create a bold line unless the pencil is very sharp. This is simply the liner on bare eyelids; no primer. You can see that on my left (your right) lid, the liner has smudged and transferred onto the top of my eyelid- this happened about ten minutes after application. This problem can be avoided...
