Project Finish-It: March Update!

Hey guys! Here's this month's installation of progress on my Project Finish-It items! This month I've opted to only show you the things I've made visible progress on.


Maybelline Dream Matte Powder in Cream
Start: 65% remaining
February: 45% remaining
Now: 25% remaining

Wowee. Look at all that progress! I'll actually be sad to see this go because I've grown to love it, but I do have another powder waiting in the wings.


Too Faced Jingle All the Way Phone Palette 

February vs. March

Not tracking percentages on this one, but look, I hit pan on two shades in one month! And the pan on that highlight shade is huge.

Estee Lauder Hydra Bright Moisturizer
February: 25% remaining
March: 18% remaining

I still don't like this. Now it's a toe cream.

Vaseline Lip Therapy Cocoa Butter
February: 75% remaining
March: 71% remaining


I keep forgetting to use this but since I just started a job, I'll be keeping it in my cubby and using it regularly! Should see some good progress in the next month.

Bath and Body Works Travel Size Lotion in French Lavender and Honey
February: 55% remaining
Now: 49% remaining

I keep forgetting this bugger too. It doesn't help that I've received like four body butters as gifts this month.


MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Blush Sample

I found this! It was hidden at the bottom of a pocket in my makeup bag. I'm going to try and use this twice a week this month!

There was a horrible accident. D: This blush crumbled as I hit more pan. I tried to re-press it but ended up breaking the actual compact in the process. So now it's a loose blush.

Well, that wasn't a terribly productive month other than for my face powder, but I'm motivated for next month now!

Review: Maybelline Brow Drama Pomade Crayon

Hey guys, long time no post! I'm here today to review the new Maybelline Brow Drama Pomade Crayon. This is an interesting product for sure- one of the many new and exciting things Maybelline has put out for us this spring. The crayon is a short, chubby pencil that is supposed to be a brow pomade in crayon form. There are obviously drawbacks to this design- while it's a cool concept, frankly, the thing is huge. Maybelline definitely should have gone with something a lot less thick. I got the shade Dark Brown, I believe. As you can see, while the product is sharp now, it doesn't take much to run it down and I fear for the day this becomes too nubby to use (I've been using it on an angle so far). The formula, however, is pretty gorgeous. It's soft and emollient, but amazingly pigmented. It gives a soft effect rather than a harsh line. Here are my brows with no product in them. May Favourites 2016!

May went by so slowly for me, but it was a month of excitement for sure! Eurovision happened and I got a job! Let's see what I loved through this month. A lot of oldies in here! First I've got some Makeup Geek shadows to talk about, and for once, I'm not waxing poetic about their Foiled eyeshadows. Makeup Geek's matte shadows in Chickadee (left) and Cocoa Bear (right) are deserving of all the hype they get. They pair together perfectly to create a warm crease. I'd never actually owned a warm medium brown eyeshadow before this, and let me just say- where have I been?! I've been wearing them all month and the only complaint I have is that now I'm in a bit of an eyeshadow rut because I don't want to wear anything else! Here's them both in my crease with Makeup Geek Foiled eyeshadow in Center Stage on the lid. Products I've Hit Pan On!

Whenever I look back on my instagram to see which posts were the most popular, it's always the posts featuring products I've #hitpan on. The panning community in general is awesome, so I figured I'd do a post showing all the products in my collection that currently have some pan going on! And I'm sure I'll have another post like this soon, because I have so many products, particularly eyeshadows, that are soooo close to hitting pan. Anyways- let's get into the good stuff! First up is this Too Faced Jingle All the Way "phone palette" that I've had for ages. It was my first foray into high-end eyeshadow- picked up for a measly 15 bucks when I went on vacation to Washington, D.C.
