Review: Kat Von D Everlasting Love Liquid Lipstick in Bachelorette

There's nothing I love more than a mini lip product. They're cute, they're portable, and I tend to pretty much use them up before they go bad, which for me is an accomplishment! What's better than a mini lipstick?


A mini version of your favourite lipstick formula in a colour you don't have, that's what! I got this shade of Kat Von D's Everlasting Love Liquid Lipstick in Bachelorette from Sephora's A Bright Night Out GWP bag this past holiday season.


Bachelorette is a dark red-based pink. For such a generic lipstick colour, I have a hard time describing it. It applies with a doe-foot applicator and is a bit thicker than my other shade, Backstage Bambi, which is prone to separation. It also lacks the vinegar-y smell that Backstage Bambi has. 


It applies opaque in one coat, and rather crisply- here you see my attempt at making my lips look heart-shaped. It takes about a minute to fully dry down to a matte, transferproof finish that lasts until you take it off with makeup remover or coconut oil.


You already know how I feel about the formula (over the moon). This colour is very nice! I have a Wet N Wild lipstick very similar- maybe I'll do a dupe post in the future.

Hey guys, long time no post! I'm here today to review the new Maybelline Brow Drama Pomade Crayon. This is an interesting product for sure- one of the many new and exciting things Maybelline has put out for us this spring. The crayon is a short, chubby pencil that is supposed to be a brow pomade in crayon form. There are obviously drawbacks to this design- while it's a cool concept, frankly, the thing is huge. Maybelline definitely should have gone with something a lot less thick. I got the shade Dark Brown, I believe. As you can see, while the product is sharp now, it doesn't take much to run it down and I fear for the day this becomes too nubby to use (I've been using it on an angle so far). The formula, however, is pretty gorgeous. It's soft and emollient, but amazingly pigmented. It gives a soft effect rather than a harsh line. Here are my brows with no product in them. May Favourites 2016!

May went by so slowly for me, but it was a month of excitement for sure! Eurovision happened and I got a job! Let's see what I loved through this month. A lot of oldies in here! First I've got some Makeup Geek shadows to talk about, and for once, I'm not waxing poetic about their Foiled eyeshadows. Makeup Geek's matte shadows in Chickadee (left) and Cocoa Bear (right) are deserving of all the hype they get. They pair together perfectly to create a warm crease. I'd never actually owned a warm medium brown eyeshadow before this, and let me just say- where have I been?! I've been wearing them all month and the only complaint I have is that now I'm in a bit of an eyeshadow rut because I don't want to wear anything else! Here's them both in my crease with Makeup Geek Foiled eyeshadow in Center Stage on the lid. Products I've Hit Pan On!

Whenever I look back on my instagram to see which posts were the most popular, it's always the posts featuring products I've #hitpan on. The panning community in general is awesome, so I figured I'd do a post showing all the products in my collection that currently have some pan going on! And I'm sure I'll have another post like this soon, because I have so many products, particularly eyeshadows, that are soooo close to hitting pan. Anyways- let's get into the good stuff! First up is this Too Faced Jingle All the Way "phone palette" that I've had for ages.
