Review: The Body Shop All-In-One Cheek Colour in Bubblegum

I'll give you a spoiler alert: this is my favourite blush. You should still read the whole review though, because this is a tricky product.



The story goes: One day, a 15 year old Megan was in a strange, small town, visiting relatives. She was going rather stir crazy, itching to shop, and the only thing she had in her wallet was a Body Shop giftcard.  She was a makeup novice, but interested in learning, so she picked up the brightest pink blush she could find.



That blush... was The Body Shop All In One Cheek Colour in Bubblegum. The first blush I ever bought, and still my favourite. It's not perfect ... but it represents me, I think. You can see how loved it's been... and how many times it's been dropped.



Bubblegum is a blue-toned light pink. It's lighter on the face than on the arm. Its texture is chalky, but even, and I can put it all over my cheeks without it looking like too much. I apply it all over my cheeks to give me a light pink, cotton candy coloured flush.



Sorry about the eyes being the focus of the look, but here's what it looks like on my face. It adds a delicate touch of colour to my face, without taking it over.

Bubblegum sure isn't perfect, but it's a very nice blush! I'll certainly miss it when it's gone.

    Thanks! It's my Sleek Ultra Mattes V1 Palette (which has gone missing. :( ) I think you have it too, right? You should try and recreate the look! :D

Today I’ve decided to post a review on a recent favourite product of mine! Review: Maybelline Brow Drama Pomade Crayon

Hey guys, long time no post! I'm here today to review the new Maybelline Brow Drama Pomade Crayon. This is an interesting product for sure- one of the many new and exciting things Maybelline has put out for us this spring. The crayon is a short, chubby pencil that is supposed to be a brow pomade in crayon form. There are obviously drawbacks to this design- while it's a cool concept, frankly, the thing is huge. Maybelline definitely should have gone with something a lot less thick. I got the shade Dark Brown, I believe. As you can see, while the product is sharp now, it doesn't take much to run it down and I fear for the day this becomes too nubby to use (I've been using it on an angle so far). May Favourites 2016!

May went by so slowly for me, but it was a month of excitement for sure! Eurovision happened and I got a job! Let's see what I loved through this month. A lot of oldies in here! First I've got some Makeup Geek shadows to talk about, and for once, I'm not waxing poetic about their Foiled eyeshadows. Makeup Geek's matte shadows in Chickadee (left) and Cocoa Bear (right) are deserving of all the hype they get. They pair together perfectly to create a warm crease. I'd never actually owned a warm medium brown eyeshadow before this, and let me just say- where have I been?! I've been wearing them all month and the only complaint I have is that now I'm in a bit of an eyeshadow rut because I don't want to wear anything else!
