Shark Week EOTD!

Julie started a Shark Week linky for the CBBers and I pondered a while on how I could incorporate Shark Week into makeup. This is what I put together!


This is what I used.

For my eyes:
-Wet n Wild Vegan Culture palette from the Silver Lake collection
-Smashbox Stay Sharp Retractable eyeliner in Onyx
-Laura Mercier creme eyeliner in Graphite
-Too Faced Better than Sex mascara


A close up of the palette. 

On my face in Vichy BB cream and on my lips is Obsessive Compulsive cosmetics lip tar in NSFW.


This is the final product!


The gray-teal wing is supposed to imitate a shark fin.


I used the gray, white and blue shades in the Vegan Culture palette to imitate the sea and sky- so the shark fin is supposed to be visible out of the water.

I didn't get the wings quite even though, haha.


I lined my lower lashline with the Smashbox liner.


Then I applied Better Than Sex to my lashes.


I applied the Vichy BB cream and a little bit of Hard Candy's Glow All the Way to the tops of my cheeks (I forgot to photograph that product, whoops).


Then I applied NSFW to my lips.

Well, that's it! Hope you enjoyed my attempt at Shark Week.

    That shadow palette from Wet N Wild was made for an "ocean" themed makeup look. Very pretty :)

    Love that eyeshadow palette and what you did with it! I can never ever get the wings of my eyeliner straight (so I've actually just up and stopped doing it haha)

Review: Maybelline Brow Drama Pomade Crayon

Hey guys, long time no post! I'm here today to review the new Maybelline Brow Drama Pomade Crayon. This is an interesting product for sure- one of the many new and exciting things Maybelline has put out for us this spring. The crayon is a short, chubby pencil that is supposed to be a brow pomade in crayon form. There are obviously drawbacks to this design- while it's a cool concept, frankly, the thing is huge. Maybelline definitely should have gone with something a lot less thick. I got the shade Dark Brown, I believe. As you can see, while the product is sharp now, it doesn't take much to run it down and I fear for the day this becomes too nubby to use (I've been using it on an angle so far). The formula, however, is pretty gorgeous. It's soft and emollient, but amazingly pigmented. It gives a soft effect rather than a harsh line. Here are my brows with no product in them. May Favourites 2016!

May went by so slowly for me, but it was a month of excitement for sure! Eurovision happened and I got a job! Let's see what I loved through this month. A lot of oldies in here! First I've got some Makeup Geek shadows to talk about, and for once, I'm not waxing poetic about their Foiled eyeshadows. Makeup Geek's matte shadows in Chickadee (left) and Cocoa Bear (right) are deserving of all the hype they get. They pair together perfectly to create a warm crease. I'd never actually owned a warm medium brown eyeshadow before this, and let me just say- where have I been?! I've been wearing them all month and the only complaint I have is that now I'm in a bit of an eyeshadow rut because I don't want to wear anything else! Here's them both in my crease with Makeup Geek Foiled eyeshadow in Center Stage on the lid. Products I've Hit Pan On!

Whenever I look back on my instagram to see which posts were the most popular, it's always the posts featuring products I've #hitpan on. The panning community in general is awesome, so I figured I'd do a post showing all the products in my collection that currently have some pan going on! And I'm sure I'll have another post like this soon, because I have so many products, particularly eyeshadows, that are soooo close to hitting pan. Anyways- let's get into the good stuff! First up is this Too Faced Jingle All the Way "phone palette" that I've had for ages. It was my first foray into high-end eyeshadow- picked up for a measly 15 bucks when I went on vacation to Washington, D.C.
