April 2015 Favourites!

Ugh, hey guys, it may as well be halfway through May and here I am posting my April favourites. What happened is that I wrote this entire post and then tried to add a few extra pictures, and then Blogger froze up. I lost the whole post and then my inspiration/motivation to get it done went poot.

But here are the things I've loved this past month. There are a lot of surprising ones, even for me. NYC?! Black eyeliner?! Skincare?! I feel like I almost don't know who I am anymore.

Marcelle Rouge Xpression Lipstick in Cleopatra

First is a sleeper hit for me. I picked this up because Marcelle was March's brand of the month for the CBB. I ended up loving this plum/raspberry colour, and since Marcelle prides themselves in making hypoallergenic cosmetics, there's no fragrance or scent to this lipstick, which is a huge deal-maker for me. Plus the history-related name made it hard to resist. I love this lipstick and must have worn it a quarter of the month, at least. It's flattering as heck and there's really nothing to complain about with it.

Wet n Wild Coverall Cream Foundation in Fair

Oh boy. A foundation?! Yes, I've been converted to foundation by Wet N Wild of all brands. This four-dollar squeezey tube of foundation is holy grail status. It's medium coverage, hides redness, is dewy and doesn't cling to dry patches. I love it! A review is on the way. I don't know how I could live without this tube of goodness now!

Ole Henriksen 3-in-1 Vitamin C Cleansing Gelee

This is a sample I'm hoarding from Sephora but I want the full size soooo baaaad. It's enough to make me put down my beloved coconut oil, so you know it's gotta be good. It smells like tangerines, it has a wonderful feel, and it melts off my makeup off while cleansing and leaving me feeling refreshed. I'm honestly in love, and I'm one who is known to turn up their nose at high-end skincare.

Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Eye Crayon in Blacquer

The eyeliner that changed my life. I almost never wore black eyeliner before I redeemed this 100pt perk at Sephora, but it's so smooth and pigmented and crisp. I'm totally sold and I'm going to buy the full size. I'm serious, this eyeliner is amazing and you need it.

NYC Smooch Proof Liquid Lipstain in Perpetually Mauve

This lip stain is actually really nice. It's not flawless, but it's a cute-ass colour and has lasted me through many 8-hour work shifts. I own four colours now, but this is the one I love the most. I wore it so many times this month!

Stila Stay All Day Eyeliner in Periwinkle

For whatever reason, I reached for this more than any other eyeliner this month, even the Marc Jacobs. *Billy Joel voice* Don't ask me why...

And a bonus: OH MY GOD THIS CANDLE. White Barn Lilac Blossom is amazing and smells exaCTLY like fresh lilacs. To a T. It brings me back to my childhood. I've got like 3 backups and the room spray to boot.

Well, that's what I loved last month! I apologize for my terrible lateness.

  2. Uuuugh, I don't even want to try anything Ole Henriksen because I'm scared to fall in love, haha. I've heard such good things about their products!! Where do you buy those White Barn candles? It sounds like it smells sooo good if you've bought so many backups, haha. Also, I'm in love with the Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Crayons. Seriously amazing, right? I have a navy and a nude one and they're both so good!

    1. I know what you mean! Just like I'm scared to try NARS anything because what if I find something I can't live without?! The White Barn candles are sold at Bath & Body Works! :)

I want all of the colours, oh my god. Especially navy and pink! If I were to win 500 dollars and had to spend it RIGHT NOW then that's what I'd spend it on, all of the Marc Jacobs Highliner gel crayons.
