March 2016 Empties!

It honestly felt like I ran through a lot of stuff this month, but honestly, it probably only seemed that way because I was running out of things I didn't have replacements for (and sometimes couldn't afford to replace). Here's the products I used up this month!



Herbal Essences Tea-Lightfully Clean Shampoo: I would repurchase this! I used it as my second shampoo- first I use Head & Shoulders, and then I would use this as a way to clean my hair and get all of the residue from the first shampoo out. This shampoo was a thinner, waterier consistency than most, and I found that the tea tree oil helped reduce my shoulder acne.

Marc Jacobs Highliner in Blacquer: I'm so sad I ran out of this! This is my holy grail eyeliner for the waterline and I can't afford to replace it right now. I will repurchase it when I get the chance, though.

Annabelle Stay Sharp Retractable Eyebrow Pencil: This was a very nice eyebrow pencil, soft and a great shade, but it only lasted me two months. So I'm going to stick to something cheaper and longer-lasting.

 Wet N Wild Coverall Cream Foundation in Fair: This is my holy grail foundation and I already have another tube on the go. This tube lasted me a long time- at least 7 months!

Review: Maybelline Brow Drama Pomade Crayon

Hey guys, long time no post! I'm here today to review the new Maybelline Brow Drama Pomade Crayon. This is an interesting product for sure- one of the many new and exciting things Maybelline has put out for us this spring. The crayon is a short, chubby pencil that is supposed to be a brow pomade in crayon form. There are obviously drawbacks to this design- while it's a cool concept, frankly, the thing is huge. Maybelline definitely should have gone with something a lot less thick. I got the shade Dark Brown, I believe. As you can see, while the product is sharp now, it doesn't take much to run it down and I fear for the day this becomes too nubby to use (I've been using it on an angle so far). The formula, however, is pretty gorgeous. It's soft and emollient, but amazingly pigmented. It gives a soft effect rather than a harsh line. Here are my brows with no product in them. May Favourites 2016!

May went by so slowly for me, but it was a month of excitement for sure! Eurovision happened and I got a job! Let's see what I loved through this month. A lot of oldies in here! First I've got some Makeup Geek shadows to talk about, and for once, I'm not waxing poetic about their Foiled eyeshadows. Makeup Geek's matte shadows in Chickadee (left) and Cocoa Bear (right) are deserving of all the hype they get. They pair together perfectly to create a warm crease. I'd never actually owned a warm medium brown eyeshadow before this, and let me just say- where have I been?! I've been wearing them all month and the only complaint I have is that now I'm in a bit of an eyeshadow rut because I don't want to wear anything else! Here's them both in my crease with Makeup Geek Foiled eyeshadow in Center Stage on the lid. Products I've Hit Pan On!

Whenever I look back on my instagram to see which posts were the most popular, it's always the posts featuring products I've #hitpan on. The panning community in general is awesome, so I figured I'd do a post showing all the products in my collection that currently have some pan going on! And I'm sure I'll have another post like this soon, because I have so many products, particularly eyeshadows, that are soooo close to hitting pan. Anyways- let's get into the good stuff! First up is this Too Faced Jingle All the Way "phone palette" that I've had for ages. It was my first foray into high-end eyeshadow- picked up for a measly 15 bucks when I went on vacation to Washington, D.C.
