Project Pan 2018: First Quarterly Update!
It’s almost April, and that means it’s time for a Project Pan update! These past three months I’ve kept my Project Pan items out on my desk in plain sight so I wouldn’t forget about them. Nevertheless,
there were a few products that got neglected moreso than others, but I’m overall happy with my
progress this quarter!
I finished two of my items! The Boscia Sake Treatment Water only had a few uses left. I’m not
going to repurchase this one. The Boscia Charcoal Makeup Melter is also done! I’ve replaced
both of them with new, similar items in the project.
Since I finished the Boscia Sake Treatment Water in early February, I have been working on The
Body Shop Aloe Calming Toner. I marked a line to see where I had started on the product when I
put it into the project, and the little doodled line is where I am now. I really enjoy this toner, but I had
sort of forgotten about it and so figured it was a good idea to add it to the project and move it out of
my collection!
I replaced the Boscia Charcoal Makeup Melter with a deluxe-sized sample of the Farmacy Green
Clean balm! The Farmacy balm serves the same purpose but is a lot thinner and lighter on the skin.
Now for the rest of the skincare products!
The Body Shop Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet: No significant use on this one. I remembered to
use it once or twice, but I’m going to make an effort now to have this be the moisturizer I use after I
get out of the shower.
GlamGlow Volcasmic Matte Glow Moisturizer: I’m almost done with this one! Just one or two uses
left. I still really love it, but I’m glad I panned it instead of purchasing the full size right away, because
it gave me a chance to discover a product that I love more.

The Body Shop Drops of Light Pure Healthy Brightening Serum: I’ve been using this a lot! I’m
surprised I’m not done with it yet, but I’m still enjoying it a ton, so that’s okay!
Milk Makeup Natural Dry Shampoo: I forgot about this entirely. If I don’t use it at all in the next
month, I’m just going to give this to my sister.
Origins GinZing Energy-Boosting Gel Moisturizer: I’ve squeezed this tube enough to where it’s
difficult to get product out anymore, so I’m going to cut this open and scoop the contents out into the
Glamglow container once I empty that one!
Now for the makeup!
Tom Ford lipstick in Indian Rose: I’ve used this quite a few times! Certainly not every day, but I did
run the bullet down a bit. I want to have this one half-done by the end of next quarter. I’ve decided
I’m never going to purchase or recommend a Tom Ford lipstick (though they certainly weren’t on my
wishlist anyway). There’s nothing *wrong* with it, per se- but it’s so incredibly similar to a mix
between a Revlon lipstick and a Chapstick that to me, it warrants nowhere near the price point it
demands. If you want a good, luxe lipstick, go with YSL.
MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua XL Colour Paint in 1-50: There’s not a ton left in this itty bitty guy, I
think I could say I used it about twelve or so times. Maybe another month of biweekly use and it’ll
probably be done with. I did, however, sample the rest of the MUFE Colour Paints and they’re really
great! I would recommend this to anyone looking for a simple, longwearing, fail-safe eyeshadow
product and I’m enjoying the use I’m getting out of it so far.
Hard Candy Glow All The Way Face & Body Luminizer in Glamazon: I still enjoy using this, but I
keep forgetting to do so still. Not as much as I would forget if I hadn’t included it in the project at all,
though, so that’s something! I’m looking forward to finding new ways to use this in the summer
months.
MAKE UP FOR EVER Step 1 Skin Equalizer in Smoothing: I use this occasionally, but I’ve
determined that I don’t like it that much. I have one pesky pore beside my nose and this primer won’t
fill it like the Benefit Porefessional does. It does help smooth some texture along my temples, but I’m
going to have to push myself on this one to finish it.
MAKE UP FOR EVER Mist & Fix: I really don’t like this setting spray and only use it to bring down
powderiness on my face. I don’t like how it sets my makeup and I don’t like how it foils eyeshadows
either, so I’m looking forward to being done with this one soon.

L’Oreal Paris MagicSmooth Souffle Blush in Cherubic: I still don’t remember to use this a lot, but
I love the effect that I get when I do so much that I don’t know why! It’s a great product and I’m going
to try layering it under powder blushes to get more use out of it!
February |
Physician’s Formula Butter Bronzer: I’m super proud of the progress I’ve been making on this
product, considering it’s not the only bronzer I’ve been using! The pan is just getting bigger and
bigger and it’s so satisfying to watch!
February |
Wet N Wild ColorIcon Single Eyeshadow in Brulee: I’m not finishing this as fast as I expected to,
but I’m making some good progress on it nonetheless! The dip in the powder has increased and I
remember to set my eyeshadow primer with this product at least three-quarters of the time, I’d say.
Now - April |
February |
Essence silky touch blush in Autumn Peach: I forgot to take a picture of this product for the initial
Project Pan post, but I DID IT! I HIT PAN! I’ve been using this blush for years, it’s my favourite one in
my collection, but it seemed like it was neverending! I’m so happy that I’ve finally hit pan, you
wouldn’t believe it!
Now - April |
Wet N Wild PhotoFocus Pressed Powder: Slow and steady goes the progress on this one. I’m
finding it to look a little dark on me lately so I might pause on this one until the summer.
Well, that's it for the first quarter update! How have your goals for the year been going?
Great progress! You're tempting me with that Farmacy cleansing balm! :)
