Nails of the Day: Rose Quartz and Serenity with Revlon!


I don't often post nails on my blog, because I have dermotillomania (which makes me pick at my hands terribly. Not conducive for nail shots). But my roommate has beautiful nails and offered to let me use her as a hand model for a Rose Quartz and Serenity-themed nail of the day!



The star of this show is Revlon. We used one of their regular polishes in Irresistible, a beautiful Serenity shade, and one of the Parfumerie Polishes in Pink Pineapple.



'Irresistible' was used as an accent nail with Pink Pineapple for the rest of the nails.



This is two coats of each.



She also surprised me by applying a Revlon holo-flakies top coat overtop of Irresistable, and I think it looks gorgeous!

Today I’ve decided to post a review on a recent favourite product of mine! I feel it deserves more exposure, but I also want to inform people of all the aspects of the product so they can make an informed decision on whether to purchase them! These are the Wet Lip Oils from the brand Kosas. I love these glosses! I initially purchased the shade Jellyfish and recently picked up the shade Jaws as well. They are comfortable, true to the name (very wet and juicy-looking on the lips) and have awesome ingredients, like buzzworthy hyaluronic acid, peptides and evening primrose oil.  The formula is thin but moisturizing- these don’t feel oily on the lips, they feel like something between a conditioning lip mask and a balm. Review: Maybelline Brow Drama Pomade Crayon

Hey guys, long time no post! I'm here today to review the new Maybelline Brow Drama Pomade Crayon. This is an interesting product for sure- one of the many new and exciting things Maybelline has put out for us this spring. The crayon is a short, chubby pencil that is supposed to be a brow pomade in crayon form. There are obviously drawbacks to this design- while it's a cool concept, frankly, the thing is huge. Maybelline definitely should have gone with something a lot less thick. I got the shade Dark Brown, I believe. As you can see, while the product is sharp now, it doesn't take much to run it down and I fear for the day this becomes too nubby to use (I've been using it on an angle so far). The formula, however, is pretty gorgeous. It's soft and emollient, but amazingly pigmented. It gives a soft effect rather than a harsh line. Here are my brows with no product in them. May Favourites 2016!

May went by so slowly for me, but it was a month of excitement for sure! Eurovision happened and I got a job! Let's see what I loved through this month. A lot of oldies in here! First I've got some Makeup Geek shadows to talk about, and for once, I'm not waxing poetic about their Foiled eyeshadows. Makeup Geek's matte shadows in Chickadee (left) and Cocoa Bear (right) are deserving of all the hype they get. They pair together perfectly to create a warm crease. I'd never actually owned a warm medium brown eyeshadow before this, and let me just say- where have I been?! I've been wearing them all month and the only complaint I have is that now I'm in a bit of an eyeshadow rut because I don't want to wear anything else! Here's them both in my crease with Makeup Geek Foiled eyeshadow in Center Stage on the lid.
