FOTD: (early) St. Patrick's Day!

Two FOTDs in a row?! I'm sorry, guys, you'll be sick of my face before the week is done.

It's not St. Patty's day yet, but this post is more to inspire some of you who want to do something festive with your makeup, but just don't know what! This look was not only super fun to do, but easy as pie too. It focuses on the eyes and highlight. Let's get into it!

I'm incredibly pleased with how the eyes turned out! Here's what I used:

After buffing a small amount of Makeup Geek's Peach Smoothie into my crease, I took a large fluffy brush and lightly built up Vinyl, a lime green, from the Kat Von D Mi Vida Loca Remix palette. I then took a smaller, denser blending brush and packed Misfit, the true green in the palette, into my crease. I blended it out with a bit of Vinyl and Peach Smoothie.

I then took the Covergirl Flamed Out Shadow Pencil in 330, a light gold shade, and applied it to my lid a bit messily, just to get a sticky base. This isn't a crucial step, but if you're going to be using a gold shadow with weaker pigmentation than the one I used, or a loose pigment, it can be quite helpful!

I then took Makeup Geek's Foiled Shadow in Untamed on my finger and packed it all over my lid. This shadow is amazing, guys, pure liquid gold.

For my lower lashline, I lined my waterline with MAC's Emerald Sea Powerpoint Eye Pencil, and then smudged Untamed into and under the lashline. I used Benefit's They're Real Push-Up Liner to create the winged liner, and applied Make Up For Ever's Smoky Extravagant mascara to my top lashes, leaving my bottom ones bare to higlight the green in the waterline.

For the inner corner highlight and face highlight, I used the Wet n Wild Highlighter in Hollywood Boulevard, a gorgeous gold.

It was important for me to have a gold highlight for this look!

And heck, let's throw another couple of pictures at you because hey, I'm proud of this look (especially considering I did it at 3am.... I was clattering around in the bathroom, and my roommate wanted to kill me. The stakes were high!)

For the lips, I just used LORAC's Alter Ego lipstick in Girl Next Door with a nude Milani gloss on top.

If you decide to do a similar look, link me in the comments and I'll check it out! I particularly think this look would be improved by gold glitter and/or false lashes, both of which I don't have, so yeah! If you like the look of this makeup, and have glitter and lashes- pleeeease recreate it! I need that in my life!

Anyways, thanks for staring at my mug! Happy way-early St. Patty's Day!
