So, here's the thing. I love pink lipstick, but we took a break over the fall and winter. I was trying new things- nudes, browns, navies- but now that it's spring, me and my pink lippies are back, and we're going strong. Here are my favourite five pink lip picks for this spring! I've got a mix of glosses, balms, traditional and liquid lipsticks. (L-R: essence Show Off, NYX Life's a Beach, Revlon HD Flirt, LORAC Girl Next Door, H&M Sweet Pea) Here are the swatches! We've got all shades of pink here. Make no mistakes, this 'liquid lipstick' by essence is anything but- it's a highly pigmented, very sticky lipgloss. While I was expecting a more traditional liquid lipstick, I was pleasantly surprised with how much I love this product! I never know how to describe this shade of pink- it's like the outside of a dragonfruit, I guess? LOL. This gloss has great staying power and the stickiness doesn't bother me- if you've ever tried...

When I think of cozy colours, I tend to think of warm reds, peaches and browns. So I went through my collection and cobbled together some sort of non-complicated FOTD plan. Here are the main players in this simple look! First, the NARS eyeshadow duo in Madrague. The two shadows look similar in the pan- certainly too similar to be an effective duo. However, on the skin they're distinctly different. The left shade is a warm, yellow-toned beige and the right is a red-toned light brown. For blush, essence Autumn Peach, a light but highly pigmented peachy blush with a beautiful golden sheen. And on the lips, Revlon Super Lustrous lipstick in Toast of New York. Plum is a favourite of everyone's when it comes to a fall lip. Not necessarily so for me, though- I prefer to break out my reds. Regardless, I can still appreciate a good plum lipstick now and again. Here are some of my top picks for evoking that autumnal, plum feel. L-R: Revlon Plum Velour, Too Faced Melted Fig, MAC So Be, Wet N Wild Sugar Plum Fairy. The CBB's theme for the month of September is Plum, so I've prepared a few plummy posts just in time for the month to end (whoops)! The first are these nails. I'll have to admit, they're not extremely plummy, but I felt like experimenting with neutrals and rich tones. I used Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Greige, and Zoya Margot for my plum(ish) accent nail. Then I applied this Revlon Iridescent top coat to the nails painted with Greige. It has little purple iridescent shimmers in a pearly glaze. I finished the whole thing off with the Pro-FX Quick Dry High Gloss Top Coat. How did it turn out? I'd say pretty well! Not the most thought-out colour pairing, but I like the way the iridescent topcoat looks over Greige. Shiiiiny. Well? What do you think? What's your favourite plum nail polish?

After years of thinking I was an autumn person, or a spring person, I have determined that I am definitely a summer person. Eating whenever I feel like it... forgetting what day of the week it is... and being able to paint my nails and having time for them to dry! Here's my top five picks for summer nails under five dollars. For summer, I'm a big fan of solid colours. I find that a solid creme in a bright primary or secondary colour can complement a tank and a pair of jean shorts like no nail art could dream of.  First up is Joe Fresh Tomato, a bright true balanced red. Then this one- my personal favourite- Rimmel London 60 Seconds polish in Blue My Mind, a fun light blue creme. It does chip like a bugger though. Revlon Parfumerie's Sunlit Grass, a bright sunshine yellow creme, is a staple for me in the warmer months. Oh, man. If you've ever been to the beauty side of youtube, you've heard raves about Revlon's lip butters. People say they're the perfect lip product, totally amazing and moisturizing and lovely colours and JUST SO GREAT. I'm here to give you my take on them! I've owned two Revlon lip butters and I'm going to review just Sorbet, because I chucked the other one (Lollipop? Gumdrop? It was a pastel purple that just looked like pure hell) a couple months back. I'm going to start by saying that I don't wear this often so it hasn't had the chance to really grow on me. I got it a little less than a year ago but I have so many lip products, it's not a staple.  Okay, first off, gorgeous packaging. I love the look of the case. Cheer up, all, it's Friday! I've had a crappy day so far and the only things keeping me going have been my fingernails- they're so pretty and glittery! This polish was a pain because the glitter one never dried, even after two hours! I had to put a topcoat on it, which I normally never do!  I used Revlon Parfumerie Lime Basil and then a Cirque colours holo glitter polish that my sister got in an Ipsy bag.  Here's your sign to keep your head up, if you've been looking for one! I'm going to show you guys my favourite drugstore shadows, even if I'm not sure if they're available for purchase anymore. Because I'm mean like that. Anyway, the Maybelline Eye Studio baked shadow duos. Is that even what they're called? My mom picked up four of these and didn't like them because the shimmer made her look too old or something, so she gave them to me. I picked up two more in a clearance bin a couple of years later. Maybe you should just take this review as an exercise of what a drugstore baked eyeshadow should be?
