My 5 Favourite Shower Products + 1 I'm Pining After!

Image
Time for something a little different! A friend of mine requested that I do a post on some of my favourite products to use in the shower, so that's what you'll be reading about today! Shower products are honestly my guilty pleasure. I own so many scrubs and soaps that it's probably sinful, so when something is in my top 5, you know I stand by it.  Let's start with a body wash! The Body Shop Aromatherapy line has always been a big favourite of mine, and my favourite scent that they make is the Stress Relief Eucalyptus and Spearmint. I snagged this Oil to Cream cleanser in a holiday sale and I've been loving it since. It looks like I've hardly used any, because you need so little product to clean your whole body (though it should be noted that I'm not somebody who runs through shower gel particularly often because I have so many on the go). What I love about this product specifically is the scent- it is soothing and relaxing, helps relieve tensi...

Products I've Recently Sampled: Would I Purchase?

Image
I've been sampling a lot of makeup, skincare and haircare this past month, so I figured I would jot down some of the opinions I've formed on the products that I tried out! Since these are samples from Sephora in-store, and not foil samples, I don't have any pictures to show you- it'd just be little ziploc bags and empty clear jars- I'll be showing you just the product stock/promo image. We'll start with makeup! Becca First Light Priming Filter : This primer made pretty much no difference on my skin. I tried it maybe six times and nope, not a single discernible effect on the wear of my foundation or the brightness/evenness of my skin. Womp womp. Won’t be purchasing. Bobbi Brown Skin Longwear Weightless SPF 15 Foundation : I love this product! I tried quite a few samples of this and then I finally broke down and purchased it. It’s my new holy grail foundation. It truly is weightless, with a natural finish and medium coverage. It ble...

April Favourites- 2016!

Image
This month was a busy one- finals, moving back home, and I've been working nights at a barn away from home for the past two weeks. I didn't wear much makeup at all, which makes this favourites post a strange one. I usually have all-makeup favourites posts, but this month, only one item is makeup related! So let's get down and dirty with it. I've even got a hair product in there! This is the OGX Coconut Oil Weightless Hydrating Oil Mist. I've never been one to fuss with my hair beyond blow-drying it on occasion- I can't even be arsed to buy conditioner. However, I saw this in my mom's cabinet while plugging in the hair dryer and thought, "Oh, why not?" This mist makes my hair feel soooo soft and not greasy at all. It has a very strong, sweet coconut scent that lingers for hours. I personally love that- it makes me feel ethereal and very put together. I just spray this on the ends of my hair before I blow dry it and bam, I'm in the trop...

Snoop my Stash: Haircare

Image
As you can probably see from this blog, I am not a lady who cares much about her hair. My sister's hair is gorgeous, long and always impeccably styled, but I'm just not about that. As long as it's reasonably combed I'm good. That being said, here are the hair products I've accumulated over the past year or so, mostly as gifts! I keep them in this little basket. L'oreal Professional tecni.art A-head glue: Okay,  I'll be truthful- I do love this stuff. It is basically glue for your hair, as the name implies. I use it mostly for cosplay. Oscar Blandi Dry Sculpting Pomade: I found this for a bargain at Winners the day after I chopped off all my hair. Then, I loved it, but it's not very effective for hair as heavy as mine, and I don't like the strong perfumey fragrance. Tresemme Fresh Start Dry Shampoo: The cheapest dry shampoo out there and the bane of beauty bloggers everywhere; why do I still have this? Dove Style+Care Styling Gel: Trut...
